Zenith bank is one of the top banks in Nigeria and they do offer card products one of which is the Web surfer card. There was a time when Nigerians didn't have access to a credit card or cards that they could use to sell bills on the internet but since the introduction of such cards by Nigerian banks, the problems were solved. The Zenith bank web surfer card is built for just that - online payment and the good thing is that it is cash backed.Things you will need
Once you make payment with passport photo, application form and valid id, a mastercard account will be opened for you.- Valid id: National id, International passport or Driving license
- Foreign currency of at least $120
- Proof of address: eg. Utility bill such as Nepa billFeatures of the web surfer card
Since it is designed for online use, it is not really a physical card but a virtual one but has all the other features of a debit card. It comes with a card number, cvv code, expiration date, transaction fees and so on. It is branded by Mastercard.
- It doesn't come embossed with your name but is attached to the name and address you provide in the application formTips to use your web surfer card on the internet
Since you are not going to be using it on an ATM or POS, you would just have to enter some details when processing an order online. Make sure you only use your card on trusted cards that carry the https prefix in the url. If your browser tells you that the https is expired, then you should avoid using your card on such sites. - Enter you name and billing address

Re: About Zenith bank web surfer card Posted by Felix Okoli on Saturday May 26, 2012 at 11:54:56: Ok a site like amazon.com accepts it. There is however a new card now by Zenith bank called buxd card and you can get it with $125 only and I think it lasts for 2 years. Works on most sites I know where Visa is acceptable.
