When it comes to online payment, one of the top preferred platforms is Paypal and it's now available to Nigerians too unlike was the case in the past.

Paypal Nigeria allows users to make payments online at several merchant stores without having to expose their credit/debit card details to all of them other than just Paypal alone. With a Visa or Mastercard, a Nigerian Paypal user can make Paypal payments by just adding an accepted card to his Paypal account.

For first time users, they'll need to first add a card before making any payments from their bank account and for existing users, they can also choose to add extra debit/credit cards if they choose to.

If you've already been using a Paypal Nigeria account and have already added a card, you can add more cards if you want and even make the last one your default means of payment

How to do it
===============
- First log into your Paypal account
- Go to Profile > Add/Edit credit card. You will see a list of your added card, if any.
- Click to add a card
- Enter the card Name
- Select the card type e.g. Mastercard, Visa,
- Enter the card details e.g. card number, expiry date and so on
- Enter or confirm the billing address
- Click the button that says add card
- Card will be added to your list of cards
- You should also click the link that says make primary so as to make the card the default payment card when you pay with Paypal
- Click the link that says link and add card besides the recently added card to activate it.
- Click the continue button to confirm you want to confirm the card
- A charge of $1.95 will be charged to your card and the transaction notification will come with some 4 digit Paypal codes
- Receive the Paypal code within 2 to 3 days hrs and enter them into your Paypal account. I received my recent one after 5 minutes
- Go back to your Profile > Add/edit credit cards to confirm the Paypal code
- Click on the link that says Enter Paypal code
- Enter the 4 digit code in the window that opens
- Click the confirm card button
- If successful, card will be finally linked and you'll receive a notification from Paypal about a refund of the charge within 24 hrs.

(If you do encounter an error that says the Credit card verification system used by Paypal is not available, you can retry the process again)

With Skyebank, I received the alert by email within 5 minutes. I was charged the sum of NGN394.84 for the $1.95 Paypal charge which means that the exchange rate used was NGN202 per 1 USD.

It's really easy to do.

Yes you can. Just go to paypal.com/ng and open with your Nigerian details. You will also be able to add a Nigerian bank account and debit card to Paypal.
